GEL PRINTING WITH CONSTANCE GRAYSON

Printing with a Gelli Plate is absolutely the most fun you can have. Gelli Plates are reuseable printing plates that let you make monoprints. The name comes from the fact that the plate feels a bit like gelatin. With a brayer, brush or even a toilet paper roll, you will apply paint to the Gelli Plate in a design of your choosing. You will then use tissue paper, deli paper, paper grocery bags, and even old sheet music on which to print this design. The resulting “print” can be used in other projects, such as collage or card-making, can become wrapping paper or can even be framed and hung. A warning is in order. This technique can quickly become addictive—but only in a good way. It is an easy technique to learn. The three hour workshop will be given on January 20, 2024 from 9 am -12:30 pm. Course fee is $50 plus $10 for art supplies.
