COLLAGED LANDSCAPES

WITH CONSTANCE GRAYSON

Pablo Picasso was one of the first artists to include collage elements in his work. The word “collage” comes from the French word “coller”—to glue or paste. That is literally how you will learn to do landscape paintings. You will use bits and pieces of printed and painted papers from magazines, books, advertising brochures—literally anything made of paper. These you will compose into a landscape inspired by either your own photograph or from one available in the studio. The workshop will teach you various collage techniques that you can then do on your own. Cost of the course is $50 which includes all materials. The course will be given from 1-4:30 on Saturday, February 3, 2024.
